I went up to the Spruance Library yesterday (run by Bucks County Historical
Assoc.)
They have a tremendous amount of information on the Van line. They also
have a book that was written by Isaac Van Artsdalen I think he was a judge.
Several folders of research that was sent to them from people who have done
research on the Vans. Census material etc. Just massive info. I was so
excited I joined.
My visit was a quick checking out what they had kind of thing so I knew if
it was worth a trip back. I will begin my research next time when I have a
plan of action.
I am planning on going back soon, as it is in Doylestown and I do not live
more than 6 miles away. If anyone is looking for something specific,
regarding Bucks county let me know. If I come across it, I will let you
know.
I was able to transcribe some of the 1850 census information on Vans from
Bucks county. I'll try to put it out on the web soon. I also intend to
make a list of what Van info they have available.
