Steve,
A significant amount of information is available on the Pintler family that
settled in Asotin County. Edward Pintler was the brother of Charles
Ellsworth Pintler. Their father was Augustus and their mother, Eliza. They
had other brothers and sisters. This information is well chronicled in the
book:
The Pintlers, Majestic They Stand
by Nola Imus and Charlotte McLucas
(who are descendents of Charles Pintler)
The book primarily addresses Charles Pintler but there is much information
about the family as well including the location of Edward's homestead.
You can order the book from the following address for about $16.00:
The Gilted Edge
PO Box 484
Newman Lake, WA 99025-0484
Closely, associated with the Pintlers in Asotin are two other families that
I am researching:
Fred and Elcy Sherman
William and Katherine Dundom
If, by chance, your friends have or come across any information on these
families and could relay it, I would be appreciative.
Regards,
Fred Sherman

Do you know of a Edward Pintler who was in Asotin in abt 1870? I'm
asking for another party.
