I know the libraries have old lists of cemeteries for the area.
This is the East Benton Co. Historical Society Page
They have a huge searchable database on the 1910 Census which is
interesting.

Call and ask them if they have NEWSPAPER ABSTRACTS of any kind to find an
obit.

the EBCSH during business hours (509) 582-7704, or send e-mail to

Research library
The EBCHS Research Library is available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons

houses an extensive collection of materials including obituaries, local
history files, family history information, high school annuals and books of
local and regional interest. This is a self-help library.
Please make a request to the EBCSH Museum Director if help will be required.
Access to photographs is by special arrangement only.

A registration form will be sent to you.
Well, that pretty well explains you can request help for a fee.
LIBRARY SYSTEM IN THE TRI-CITIES

I know they have books of the cemeteries around the area and a list of all
the regional historical newspapers. But you might have to get a volunteer to
make a copy of the cemetery book, which is fairly small.

Subject: Locating an Obituary and Tombstone in Kennewick
Can someone suggest a good place to send to get a copy of an obituary from
1932 in Kennewick? Also, is there a library or archives that have tombstone
inscriptions. I looked on the web but only found one cemetery with Crowley
and there was not first name.
I am looking for James C. Crowley d. 19 Mar 1932 in Kennewick.
Thanks,
Judy
