A farewell party was given in honor of the FRASER Bros. in the Park Hall
Thursday night.

Ernie WRIGHT and Eph. LAMPHERE made a trip to Vancouver Thursday after a
load of powder.

The plasterer's are at work in S. G. JONES new house.

A license to wed has been issued to Alva H. COLE and Ethel FARRER.

Jake SURBER, Perce HILL, and Ed CARL left for Hamilton Creek Tuesday where
Mr. SURBER has a contract putting in a crossing.

Mr. SHIELDS died on Monday very suddenly and was buried Thursday in the
Catholic cemetery.

Grandpa M's gout is worse; the Sun was late this week.

John N. KLEIN sold at auction last Saturday, the residence property on the
corner of Third and Main Streets and a number lots in the same block. The
residence and three lots went for $1650, Vancouver parties buying. The lost
sold well, going as high as $275. Wm. STEENSON was the auctioneer, and to him
may be ascribed in a great measure the success of the sale.

Transfers of the following Washougal real estate have been filed this week:
Olina REINSETH to Washougal Skandianavisk Evang Luth Inernighed, a tract of
land in Parker donation claim, Lena KLEIN to James SHORT, lots 5 and 6, block
1, $250; Harry SAVIDGE to James SHORT, west half of lot 8, block 12, $110;
Albert GOOT to James SHORT 80 acres in section 4 township 1 range 4 east W.
M., $1,070; Mary Ann EVANS to John CRONE lots 7 and 8, block 6, $250. >>
