My grandfather, a Waddell descendant, blamed working in a factory that made
boilers (he had to hold the rivets inside whilest another banged away on the
outside). Now I know! But he really was VERY hard of hearing. If he were
still alive, I don't think I'd have the voice for it. Conversations were
very loud at Grandpa's house.
