Hello,

I am researching my husband's family in East Tennessee. His grandfather was T C (Theodore Compton) Wagner who married Daisy Lane in Blount County, Maryville, Tennessee.
TC was born in 1896 and had a brother Luther.

Luther Wagner was killed in mining accident.

There was also a sister, Leah.

TC's father was Samuel L. Wagner and married Mollie Branner who was half Cherokee. They lived in Strawberry Plains, or Jeffferson County, Tennessee.

Supposedly, Samuel's father, along with two brothers either stowed away or disserted a ship from Germany to stay in America.

Any information would be helpful as this is about everything anyone knows about these Wagners.
