Hi Elaine,
Well I made it to the library at last and sadly there was nothing at all.
The only film they had was Jan 1935 to Apr 1938 and there were a number of issues missing also. I looked and looked and didn't find any obits at all. Just seems strange.
I'm so sorry I couldn't help you and I don't even know where else to suggest you go for the info.
