Subject: new to list: what county is Betwys-y-coed in?

I have an ancestor that lived in England but did many landscape
paintings in this area and I am wondering where it is. I spent many
frustrating moments trying to find this out on the Internet but alas,
I got frustrated and gave up!
I am hoping that this area is maybe where his family was originally
from and that is why he went back and painted there. The artist's
name was Benjamin WILLIAMS LEADER (the surname LEADER was added in
1857). I have a WILLIAMS that was a cattle dealer in Wales and moved
to Reading. We think his wife was Nancy FLETCHER. Anyway, thanks
