Hi All,

Carol of TreeTops http://freespace.virgin.net/tree.tops/ has offered
to do a "special week" of messages on the Family Tree Pages available
on the Text Pages British TV, for the benefit of Wales-Gen subscribers.

(I have no objection if this is forwarded to other Rootsweb lists for Wales,
but please check with the relevant list admin's first!)

The format of the messages needs to be 40 words and INCLUDE a postal
address (this is to benefit those without email).

An example is:
Seeking ANY details on Jabez Nicholls b. 1837 Swansea Glamorgan.

The sample is a genuine message, if you connect to Jabez please contact
the address below.

Messages should be sent either to
Please put "special week" in the subject heading.
As soon as there is 36 messages they will be allocated a week to be
screened. The last time Carol did a special week it proved to be VERY
successful. For details on TreeTops see below.

The idea is to send your FAMILY TREE QUERY of no more than 40 words which
must include a postal address for the benefit of those television viewers
not on e-mail. It wll go on the British television creen on Sky News fastext
for one week and be seen all over the UK, Ireland and Europe. This is a FREE
service and you do not need to have the facility to use it.

****NEW:**** The edited version of the messages will also be placed on the
TREETOPS-NEWS Internet Mailing List - see below for subscribe address.
Postal addresses will NOT be placed on the mailing list.

A 2nd FREE service is called 'WE'LL MEET AGAIN" which is also a query
service but more for the living, old pals, war buddies, 20c descendants etc.
Again 40 words.

Never seen the Free Service on the TELEVISION screen.

pages actually look like on the television. Keep looking, as the graphic
turns over, and you will see sample messages, giving you an idea of what
yours could look like.
