Hello,

I am new to Wales searching and would appreciate any advice.

I am looking for SHEARN info from Dist. of Pontypool, Co. of Monmouth, Wales (Abersychan Township).

Last known date in Wales before the U.S. was the 1845 birth of Ann Shearn to Henry Shearn (b. in England) and Hannah Guilliford (b. in England). George, Henry and William were names of other children. The first record that I have in the U.S. was George's 1859 marriage.

Would guess that they were coal miners since that's what they did upon arrival in OH.
