It is Goliath, the same as in the English translation of the Bible. the only
difference is that in saying the name, the English tend to add an extra a
into it and pronounce it Golai-ath. In Welsh the extra a isn't there so it
sounds more like Goleee-ath.
David, incidentally, in this instance, is always Dafydd (Dav-ith) and never
the other Welsh name for David - Dewi (as in Dewi Sant - Saint David)
