I havejust begun a search in my background, very new tothis anestory
search. My paternal grandmother was born in Rhyl, Wales. Her father I
believe was a life boat captain and her family managed the pub THE
PACKET. There were 3 or four brothers who emigrated to Australia and to
New Zealand. I am unsure of any of their names. I do realize that
EVANS is an extremely common welsh surname but am hoping with the info I
have you will have some sucess. Gram was born Katherine with a C or a K
Evans on the 8th May 1900??? She imigrated to Ottawa, Canada around
1921 or 22. She married a Harold Bassett from Birmingham, England.
That is it. Would like to know if you have any infor on her birth
particularly her parents. Many thanks. Pat.
