Michael,
Long shot if you break
LYSTALYBONT INTO
LYS Talybont
You can then use google search as LYS+TALYBONT which will give you
information about Talybont and LYS .
Both still existing.

Also-
There is an amazing family tree which mentions LYSTALYBONT and gives it as
Glamorganshire but this may be yourr tree any way!!
