As I will be in Wales for just a few days in June, I am wondering if any of you have links to my maternal grandfather's family and are still living in the area from whence they came.

William Edmunds was the son of Thomas Edmunds and Jemima Rees and was born 1844, Ystradyfodwg, Methyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Glamorgan married Margaret Thomas born 1849 Cefn Coedcymmer, Methyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Glamorgan. William and Margaret were married in 1868 in Dinas. They migrated to Australia, living in several mining areas in Victoria before moving to Tasmania. They had a number of children born in Australia, including my grandfather Lemuel Henry who was killed at Gallipoli in 1915. There a number of us in Australia linked to various lines from William and Margaret.

I will visit the areas in Wales noted in the various documents we have and would love to link with any local contacts to the same family.
