information on Samuel Clough Wall, or any of his ancestors, descendants,
or even distant relatives. Please help.Thanx.

I am looking for ancestors of Sam Clough WALL.
b 24 Aug 1842 in Doaksville, Indian Territory
married Ellen Jackson b 06 Aug 1844 in Joplin, MO.
All I know of his parents is that they "were sent from Massachusetts
to Mississippi as missionaries among the Choctaws in 1830 and moved to
the territory now Oklahoma". I have an article written by one of his
sons (Thomas Wall) in 1939. It's kind of tricky actually organizing the
information in it because he doesn't really explain certain things very
well, but apparently Sam Clough WALL was raised by his older brother,
Dave, when their father died three weeks after the birth of Sam. No idea
what happened to the mother...Later, when Sam was about 7 years old, he
was taken to Massachusetts by his uncle (?) to be educated...
Sam Clough WALL went on to marry Rachel Landrum ,sister of H.T.Landrum
who "was a delegate to Washington for 12 years in succession for
Cherokee district and once an interpreter for the Daws commission and
died holding that position". In that marriage, he had three children:
Thomas (b 25 Jun 1865) Frank H. (b 05 Feb 1869) and Ruthy (b 23 Feb
1871)...This is also the day that their mother Rachel died. Frank died
at about 5 weeks, Ruthy at about 3 1/2 years.
Next, he married Ellen Jackson. From this marriage were born:
Daisy (b 05 Feb 1880) Eunice Ellen {also called Una ? }(b 04 Feb
1882) and Frank Samuel{or Sam Franklin ?}(b 28 Apr 1886).
If anyone out there can help me get any farther back, or if you are
related to the same WAlls,&/or have any information please respond.
Sam Franklin WALL married Bonnie Robertson and they had 3 children:
Ruby, Lillian, and Galvin. This is the part of the line that I am
directly related to, but would like any information I can get.
Thanks in advance,
Cheri McKay ( )

PS...I'm not certain, but I believe that Sam Clough Wall's son, Sam
Franklin Wall stayed mainly in Oklahoma and later moved to California,
where he passed away on 7/9/64.
Also, Sam's brother, Thomas, apparently moved to Coolidge, AZ. That is
where he wrote the article/story that I have which is entitled "History
of the Wall Family".
