I`ve got it; why haven`t I seen it before? I`ve never seen anyone mention
this land warrant record in the Tn. State archives but it is very significant
in my estimation.

No.4310 James Wall and his heirs. for military service to the state of North
Carolina No. 630 dated the 24th day of April 1784 and entered on the 8th day
of Sept 1807 by No. 508
Bedford county 2560 acres. In the 2nd Districtand 5th sectionon the waters
of Rock Creek on the south side of Duck River.
Land owners mentioned surrounding this section are:
"Phillips and Campbells north east corner"
the "south east corner of Jason Thompson & Newton cannon 240 acre entry"
"to George Catheyssouth boundary of his 2500 acre tract"
"William Black`s line"
surveyed by James Smith July 18th 1809"
W. G.Blount, Gov of Tennessee. Willie Blount, Secretery Willie and W.G. seem
to be used interchangeably.
I am so excited.
My line has sons named "Newton Wall and also Cannon wall.
also this Wall family in Mississippi are interrelated with the cathey family
(this ould be the Clement K. Wall family which we think may be the son of one
James Wall of N.C and possibly the son of the one named in this grant.
Does anyone know exactly where this land lies today?
What other records might I oprder now that would be associated with this
grant. i.e. Rev. service records etc. and the applications etc.
I believe we`re getting onto something now.
Sue in Al.
