My father's paternal grandmother was Mary WALL, born roughly (very
roughly...) 1856 (presumably in Ireland), died 16 Mar 1932 in
Ireland. She married (date unknown) Thomas J HANRAHAN (b roughly
1856, died 4 Jan 1914 in Ireland), and they had the following
children:

John Martin HANRAHAN (my grandfather) born 11 Nov 1886, died 16 Dec 1974
Mary HANRAHAN born about 1891, died 1891
Peter Thomas HANRAHAN born 8 Sep 1895, died 5 Jul 1981
Edward J HANRAHAN born about 1897, died either 21 Nov 1967 or 1980?
Jane HANRAHAN born about 1899, died 26 Mar 1970

Mary WALL had a brother who, according to the family story, owned a
tin mine in British Columbia, Canada, and was more than likely
married to a woman named Helen who died in Libby, Lincoln, MT 23 Feb
1930. Mary may also have had a sister? cousin? Annie WALL, who made
her First Communion in 1879 in Carrick on Suir, Co Tipperary, and
became a nun (Sr Columba) when she grew up.

Mary's sons John and Peter emigrated to the States.
