I have a strange Wall/Thornhill record, and am aware that the dates here are impossible, but thought perhaps the names may ring a bell with someone.
Here is the record: John Wall b. c. 1720 m. Mary Hayden of Rathcormac, Ireland. Their first son m. Anne dau. of Robert Thornhill of Castle Kevin near Macroom and had 4 sons, 2 daus - Walter and William emigrated, eldest son John living in America m. 1887 and had issue. Second son m. Catherine Thornhill dau. of Robert Thornhill of Castle Kevin and had 3 sons and 5 daughters, 3 of whom were living in Cork City in 1880.
I suspect the 1720 marriage may be a incorrect and should be 1820.
I would be interested to hear from any Wall family member who could cast some light on this record.
