Ok the list isn't dead, here is my stuff again!!!
Time to repost my mystery. My great grandfather, Lemuel (Lem) Adolphus
WALLACE, born (according to his death certificate) February 15, 1864, in
Sparta, White County, Tennessee. I am willing to entertain the thought
that he may have been born is Sparta, Kentucky or Georgia. No record
exists of him on the 1870 census for White County Tennessee. His parents
were and Unknown WALLACE and Emma REED, again according to the death
certificate. He was in the Waco area of Texas by 1897 because he married
Willie Levita TUBBS in China Springs in that year. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. A family story says that all in his family, except
for one older brother, perished in a flood or river crossing when he was
about 7 years old.
