My g-grandfather, ROBERT WALLER was born in Stettin Germany in 1858; his
brother FRIEDERICH was born in 1851. It's very possible there were other
siblings, but I haven't discovered any yet. ROBERT and FRIEDERICH were the
sons of GOTTFRIED WALLER and LOUISE ???, and the brothers settled in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
It is a generation or two back from Gottfried where the French connection
comes in. Family heresay says a Waller ancestor was a general under
Napoleon and defected to Germany.
I'm interested in hearing from other German/French Wallers.
