Diana and all,
According to the information sent to me by N. Dale Morgan of Grant's
Pass, OR in 1993, the David Lee who died in Lunenburg Co., VA in 1748
was the father of Clement Lee who married Sarah Walden. She/he sent a
5-generation descendant chart beginning with David Lee. Unfortunately,
no descendants of Clement Lee and Sarah Walden were given. According
to the chart information, Clement was the youngest child and was born
about 1730.

What generation would this David Lee be to the Clement Lee who married
Sarah
Walling the daughter of Elisha Sr.? My guess is this David Lee is
the
grandfather. Is there anyone from the Lee family on this list? This
will
is on-line at
http://www.tlc-gen.com/LunenburgWillBook1.htm
My personal interest is the Thomas Jones who is the co-executor as my
MILLY,
the wife of JOSEPH WALLING, may be the daughter of a THOMAS JONES.

Page 11. Will. March 10, 1743/4. I, David Lee, of Brunswick
County, being in perfect health.
First, all my debts are to be paid.
To my wife, Elizabeth Lee - the third part of my personal
estate after my debts are paid, and the use of the
plantation where I now dwell, during her widowhood.
To my son, David Lee - a parcel of land, beginning at the
mouth of the first branch above the Clay Ford on Ward
Fork, running up the said Fork to Andrew Kennedy's
line, and along the said line to the head of the said
branch, and down that Branch to Caldwell Mill Path,
including all the land between the said Branches, the
said land being part of a tract of 1800 acres bought of
Mathew Talbot. Likewise, 1 gray mare which is now
called his.
To my sons, John and Clement Lee - the rest of that tract of
land I bought of the said Talbot but what shall be
hereafter mentioned, the said land to be equally
divided, Clement to have that part including the
plantation I now live on.
To my son-in-law John Mount - a tract of land on Ward Fork,
being part of the above said eighteen [hundred acres] ,
beginning on the lower side at the mouth of the first
Branch above the Clay Ford, running up the said Branch
to Calldwell Mill Path, so running up a Valley that
lies between his fence and mine and to continue a
straight line from the head of that Valley to the lower
line on Ward fork, he paying at the rate of 5 £ a
hundred for all there shall be in said tract above 200,
and at the payment of the money, to have a right made
to the whole tract.
To my son-in-law Andrew Kennedy - a tract of land, being
part of the above 1800 acres, beginning on John
Martin's lower corner on Ward Fork, running down said
Fork, then SW to Major Richard Kennon's line, and what
the tract contains above 200 acres, he is to pay for at
the rate of 5 £ a hundred, and at the payment of the
money, to have a right made to the whole.
To my son-in-law Abel Lee - 5 £.
If any of my sons die without heir, his part to be equally
divided between my sons that are now unmarried. I want all
my personal estate, money, and debts, to be equally divided
between my children which are now unmarried.
To my son, Joshua Lee - 10 shillings.
Executors - my wife Elizabeth and my friend, THOMAS JONES.
Signed - David Lee.
Witnesses - Mathew Talbot, William Owen (M his mark), John
Roakby (I his mark).
This will of the deceased was exhibited at Oct 3, 1748 Court
by Elizabeth Lee, the executrix, and the same was proved by
the oath of Mathew Talbot, one of the witnesses, and ordered
to be recorded. And the executrix, together with Israel
Pickens, her security, entered into bond and acknowledged
the same. On her motion, certificate was granted her for
obtaining a probate of the will.
