I saw this in the Oxford Journal Newspaper of July 1, 1920 and thought
it might be of interest to someone....

**WEDDING BELLS - HIGHET - SMITH
There was a quiet wedding in St. Pauls church, Halifax on Saturday
19th, at 9 oclock, Ven. Archdeacon ARMITAGE officiating, Edwin Atkinson
HIGHET, son of Mr. and Mrs. James HIGHET, of Oxford was united in
marriage to Miss Elsie Violet SMITH, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sydney
George SMITH of Wimbledon, England.
The groom was supported by an old companion in arms, Frederick Oscar
SCHAEFER, of Halifax and the bridesmaid was Bessie May HIGHET, sister of
the groom. The bridegroom served overseas as corporal of the 25th Batt.
and now holds a responsible position representing in the Maritime
Provinces the Canada Metal Co. of Toronto. The Brig came to Canada on
the Cornia. The happy couple will reside at Oxford.
