Love reading about "First Christmas" My first one was 1945. My in laws did
celebrate. Of course not like England. I was amazed at the amount of food at
that time. I sent a "Care " package to my mum in London as you know England still
had a shortage. I get homesick for those times when I smell tangerines. I
still make Mince pies and trifle for the holidays. My first husband died in 1950.
I married again 1954. My in laws being of Chekoslovacian back ground they had
"Vigilia" Christmas Eve Vigil Supper etc. Being in an area of Pittsburgh, PA
that first year I was shown a lot of ways that different ethnic groups
celebrated. My children got the best of both sides. Rae "Z"
Wishing one and all, on both sides of the border. A very Merry Xmas and a
Healthy, Happy and peaceful New Year. God Bless.
