Hello,
My name is Alison Pringle. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I have just
joined this mailing list. I am searching for ANY information anyone may have
about my nana. In the last few months I have been very curious to find out
more about her and my papa. I wish I would have had more interest in the
past when they were still alive. My nana came to Canada from England, I
think she grew up in Yorkshire but am not certain. Her maiden name was Alice
Maude Taylor (I think that was her middle name). I am named after her. There
is still a lot of family in England by the name of "Taylor" to whom I'm
related. My papa's name (and her married name) was Richard Billington (his
middle name may have been Hector). He grew up in Lockport, Manitoba and they
both lived in Selkirk, MB. Richard died in 1991 and Alice in 1998.
Anyone from anywhere who has any connections or information would be GREATLY
appreciated. I am interested in learning anything whatsoever. I would like
to know how she served as a war bride, when she came over, what the records
are on her, etc. I would especially like to find out if there are any
pictures of her someplace that I could view or obtain. If anyone knew her
and has any stories, that would be special too. Please e-mail me at
with any information.
Thank you,
Ali Pringle
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem;
not to mention that Friday at Calvary.
Face it, He's crazy about you.
