Hi Pam
Unfortunately this person's father wasn't still in the army when he married
her mother, as he was discharged by the time the Dutch wife arrived in
Canada according to the passenger list. Is it your understanding that our
enquirer can't therefore apply for her father's army record because he was
discharged from the army before he married her mother, or is it just that
they won't provide the information about the Dutch first wife? Luckily the
passenger list does give his rank and army service number.
