Dear List,
I am new to this list and am tracing Eldreds. I wonder could SKS who has
access to the 1841 census for Hampden In Arden, Warwick please look up the
family of WILLIAM ELDREDand wife FRANCES or FANNY, who I imagine would
have been about 30 or so then, and children CHARLES WILLIAM ELDRED, about
1, and FRANCES ELDRED, about 2. These childred were listed on the IGI as
being born in Hampden In Arden in Warwick. I have the 1851 census, but they
must have moved to Leicester by then. I am hoping to establish the age of
WILLIAM so as to trace him back further as there are zillions of William
Eldreds. I am also tracing the family of JOSEPH and JANE ALLSOP whose
children were born in Burton Hastings, Warwick. Their son JOHN is my
g.g.g.g.grandfather and was living in Oxford at the time of his marriage in
1816.
Any information of any of these individuals would be much appreciated.
