Subject: [WAR] Those "Pimpernel" WALKERS

Although Peter WALKER's birth/baptism still eludes us, thanks to help from
"The Covkid" and other kind Listers we know from his 1817 Apprenticeship
record that his mother was Mary.
Sadly (for her and for our research !!) by 1817 she was already widowed. Her
then place of abode was Foleshill and she was a weaver, altho Peter was
apprenticed to become a butcher. This he achieved and we have records of him
in the 1830s in Jordan Well, Coventry St Michael, from whence he and his
wife were buried in 1843.
Since the Burial Index also shows a Mary WALKER of Jordan Well buried in
1840 (aged 75) it seems reasonable to figure that she was Peter's mother.
The "Index" however gives just those bare facts.
Is it possible, please, for sks to have a look at the actual Burial Record
in the Cov St Michael PRs to see if there is more detail ? ----- e.g.
"Mary, widow of " would be a boon !!!
Many thanks
Redvers and June
