Hi and Thanks for the site, I found an ancestor who had been robbed of 79
yards of silk and worsted lace value 10 shillings.
This was in the parish of Christchurch 1716.
The victim was William Pattin,and the scoundrel was David Pritchard,so if
there are any Pritchards around you owe my family a few pounds<G>.
Can you imagine trying to buy those goods at that price these days.
Fascinating stuff.
