Saltisford is part of the Cape area of Warwick mainly on the north side of
the main line railway line.

Today there is Saltisford Common next to Cape Road and Saltisford Gardens
part of a post-WW2 council housing estate.

The road named Saltisford is south of the main line railway and was until
the M40 motorway was built part of the A41 trunk route from London to
Birmingham then to Holyhead. and this part running through Warwick is now
the numbered the A425.

There is an old Chapel adjacent on this road that is in a bad state
dereliction, several attempts to restore it in the last 50 years, sorry I
cannot recall its name, I passed it daily on my way to school 56 years ago!

Warwick Gaol was close by and useful site showing names of people working
there 1826 to 1846 is at :-
