Hi Diane,

What a wonderful travelogue! Thank you for sharing this with me. You
painted a lovely, detailed picture of everything, especially the church.

A good friend gave me a copy of THE DOMESDAY BOOK, ENGLAND'S HERITAGE, THEN &
NOW, edited by Thomas Hinde. Mr. Hinde has taken the major landholders and
abstracted that info. It is not complete by any means. I checked the index,
but the name WASHBURN or WASHBOURNE does not appear. Nor is Wickenford,
Greater Washbourne, or Little Washbourne mentioned that I can find.

If someone sends you the info from the original Domesday book, I would love
to see it. I don't think there is a copy in my city. Should I be able to
locate one, I will send the info to you.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I appreciate the information you have
shared with us.
