With reference to "The Washburn Family in America", Second Edition,
1997. Volume 2;
published by Brenton P. and Robin P. Washburne:

"LUMAN D. WASHBURN 1805 - m. TEMPERANCE HORTON 1830
Luman b. NY; m. 15 Dec 1830, Putnam Co. NY. His mother was Ann, b. 1780, NY.
Temperance b. 1802, NY. Res. Wayne Co NY 1840, 1850, Lake Co. IL
1860, Fayette Co.
IA 1870, and then Ottertail Co. MN. Temperance is also shown at
Buffalo NY 1850,
perhaps visiting a daughter: Eunice Washburn 1832; Harriet Washburn 1834 m.
J.B. Baldwin 1855."

This is all I have according to Cousin Brenton's publication.
Hope this helps.....maybe someone else on the list can
supply more information...

Washburn(e). They are both buried in West Union, Fayette County,
Iowa. They moved there from Lake County, Illinois and there from
