The last large Gabriel Washburn family reunion was held in 1986.

I have just received a letter from cousin Gaines B. Washburn that his family
has reserved the convention center at Gardner-Webb University for August 3,
2002. Gardner-Webb is in the Shelby, North Carolina area.

Gaines's home is close to where Gabriel and Priscilla are buried.
Gaines points out that Gabriel would be 250 years old this year.

Please place this date on your calendar. I will be checking into motels
available in the area, etc. and will send you an e-mail concerning same.

I will be at our Edgar Nollie Washburn family reunion this coming weekend.
( Mother's Day ) Hope I will have time to see Gaines, but due to recent
two bats of surgery I've had in the last month, I may have to visit with him
on a return trip.

Gaines does not have an e-mail address, at this time. I will mail him a
copy of this e-mail to you-all and offer my help and support.
