I am descended from Noah Washburn and Bathsheba Saxton/Sexton through their
daughter Sarah Washburn who married Consider White. Noah Washburn was born 9
Sep 1741 in Bridgewater, MA as the son of Noah Washburn and Mary _?_. I am
looking for information about Noah and Bathsheba [Saxton/Sexton] Washburn's
ancestors and would appreciate any information or suggestions that I could
get. I am happy to share any information that I have.

Dear Dick:

I was able to find Noah Washburn and Bathsheba Sexton in Brenton Washburne's
book, THE WASHBURN FAMILY IN AMERICA. Brenton Washburne said the following
about Noah: "Noah b. 9 Sep 1741, Bridgewater MA. Res. Hartford CT 1790-1810.
Noah served in Capt. John Clapp's Co. at Fort Edward, July 1756, and in Capt.
Josiah Dunbar's Co. in 1761." Brenton Washburne also traced Noah Washburn's
paternal line starting with John Washburn, who came to America in 1631:

John Washburn (1597-1670)
John Washburn (1620-1686)
Samuel Washburn (1651-1720)
Noah Washburn (1682-1716)
Noah Washburn (1716-?) and Mary Staples
Noah Washburn (1741-1814)

This line is also descended from Francis Cooke, who came to America on the
Mayflower in 1620. Among the cousins of this line are Civil War Congressman
and Secretary of State Elihu Washburne, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt,
President George Herbert Bush, President George Walker Bush, Princess Diana,
Prince William, and Prince Harry.
