Rooters:
My Nineveh Ford spent some time in Oregon but he died in Walla Walla.
(And his name IS spelled Nineveh NOT Ninevah!)
For those of you who have never connected to the OSAWS: I just got a 1"
stack of documents from the Oregon State Archives. From this I have
added at least a dozen people to my family tree. In addition I have
verified several: connections, names, birth and death dates, marriages,
Donation Land Claims, and got some fun estate information.
The URL for the main page is http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/ click on
genealogy at the bottom of that page or take this shortcut:

What I did was search on the surname of "ford", and then I read through
the 170 documents listed. I found several documents with given names
that seemed to fit my Nineveh Ford Family. Of the many documents I
ordered on-line all but two are for my Ford's! (If you have a Clarence
E. and Maude Ford nee Olson in your family tree I'll give you their
divorce documents for an SASE [9X12 envelope w/ two stamps].)
So give it a shot.
Cecil
