When Martha Johnson Allen Modrell died, did her then husband marry a second
time?

I have a Martha Modrell living with my gggrandfather in Spokane WA. My
gggrandfather was a Luther R. Modrell. In 1900, Luther is living with his
wife Alcy Smotherman Modrell and their 6 children. The eldest child being
Edward Modrell. Luther and Alcy were married in 1888.

Could it be that Martha was in fact married to my gggrandfather, after she
died my gggrandfather married Alcy Smotherman and Eddie lived with them?

Keep looking. I look forward to learning whether or not we are distant
cousins.
