Good Morning Waters Researchers,
Well, the holidays are over. Hope you all had a
wonderful time. I know I have! But now its time
to get back to work.

First, I would like to extend a big welcome to
our new subscribers. Thanks for jumping on board!
Please feel free to post your queries and info.

Secondly, I keep track of all the info coming over
the line and see that we are very diverse. Not only
in time periods and locations but in the spellings as
well. Many that are WATERS now were Watrous, Walters,
Waterhouse, Watres and a host of other spellings. And
some of us are finding that we are switching back and
forth with name spellings within the same immediate
families. Because of this and because I know that as
the months pass, we will grow in numbers; I was
considering setting up a one name study site online
such as the DAWSON researchers have done. One stop
shopping so to speak. It would have information posted
such as cemetery records, marriage, birth
and death records, etc. and include the researchers and
where they are researching. I also thought we could
include the head family of each line say through the
third generation and that way folks could find the
family that they are connected to. For instance, I think
Lt. Edward Waters and his wife, Grace Oneal were probably
the first Waters family in the US. Please correct me if
I am wrong. But we could list them and their children
and their grandchildren. Then we would be able to see
if we connect back to them. Etc.

Would this be a project that you would be interested
in seeing? Would there be anyone that would like to
take the project on or work with me to put up such a site?
What about volunteering to cover certain infomation for
the site? To get an idea of what I am talking about
visit the Dawson site and look around. Let me know
what you think and if you would be interested in either
developing the site or volunteering to do projects for
the site.

Thanks for your interest and I look forward to hearing
from you. the Dawson site is at:

<http://www.globalserve.net/~dawson/>;

Please check it out and then let me know what you think.
Thanks again,
Ronnie
