I have a whole family of Hale's born in the US and the are all named
after famous American's, the ones born in Canada had "normal" names.
There were no family names used at all.

Admiral Dewey
Russel Jackson

I would prove what you have. If you make a connection great. Don't waste
time trying to prove the connection
