Not sure I can help, but I am descended from a James WATSON (2), b. 1841
in (Darke Co.) OH, father supposed to be a James WATSON (1). My James
WATSON (2) married Melinda NELSON, in Grant Co., IN in 1861.

Do you know where in OH James WATSON (1) lived, or what his wife's name
was? What is the source of you thinking he lived in OH in 1840 -
census, death cert., etc.?
