This Noah Watson was a brother to my Samuel Watson. Noah Watson was a
physician in the Lexington, OH area. Their father, Amariah Watson, was
the founder of Lexington in 1812, and it was his boar which ate the
Indian papoose.

Dr. Noah Watson d 02 Mar 1863, 72-2-11 Vet GAR, buried in Lexington
Cemetery, Troy Twp. In a sworn deposition, dated 08 Jan 1858, he stated
his date of birth as 21 Dec 1790 in Plymouth, Luzerne Co., PA.

He married his first wife, a Miss Eastman, in 1815. She died 05 Mar
1817, and in 1820, he was again married to a Miss Dodson, of PA. Mr.
Watson was the 1st white person married in Lexington. The following were
the names of his children, viz: William; Lucy, who married Rev. C.
Johnson, of M.E. Church; Joseph; Susannah D., married to Wm. Snyder;
Hiram (since dead); Anne Eliza and Avery.

In May 1813, Mr. Watson volunteered in a Light Horse Co., under Capt.
Ichabod Nye, for the purpose of marching to the felief of Gen. Harrison
at Ft. Meigs.
