Are there known Watts that are Native American?
Yes! Many! I don't have time or energy tonight to get into it, but there
are many references online... Watts on the Dawes Rolls, John "the Interpreter"
Watts, John "The Trader" Watts and many many others... Google some of this
and also go throught the Watts -L
archiveshttp://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl
then enter Watts for the list name and then search your line or Native
American or any of the folks I've listed...
I suggest that you join the Watts list at Rootsweb if you haven't already and
ask any questions you like! It's free and all folks researching Watts
genealogy... You're bound to find cousins--and other NA descendants! (My own line
may have an NA component--DNA says we have NA genes & my Watts line has family
lore, but whether I can prove direct NA link to my Watts line remains to be
seen!)
Write again if you like--but I really think you should join the list for best
resources/help!
Good luck & happy hunting!
