Hello Everyone The following came to me a few years ago from a
wonderful woman who offered to do a look-up. I dont have her name
anymore but Id like to thank her again for the fun these records have
brought me.
SADSBURY MONTHLY MEETING (QUAKE
18/1/1764 Jane Webb produces certificate from Bradford Monthly meeting
for herself, and four children. Rebecca, Hanna, Thomas and Jacob Park.
21/3/1764 Benjamin Webb requests certificate for himself, wife and
children Joseph, Rachel and Alice to Kenett Monthly Meeting.
21/8/1765 Also Rebecca Parks to Bradford Monthly Meeting and Thomas
Parks to same Meeting. (The certificate reads, James Webb for his
stepson Thomas Park to remove his brother Robert, also Rebecca Park by
her mother, Jane Webb who also lives with her brother Robert).
20/1/1768 Certificate from Kennet Monthly Meeting for James and Alice
Webb, children of Benjamin Webb, deceased.
18/10/1769 Jas. Webb requests certificate for stepson Jacob Park (son of
Thomas Park deceased) being an apprentice to William Dawson, to
Philadelphia Monthly Meeting.
18/4/1770 Jas. Webb complains Caleb Johnson is spreading scandalous
reports tending to hurt his character.
19/12/1770 Certificate requested for Jas. Webb, son of Benjamin Webb,
deceased, to Concord Monthly Meeting (Apprentice to Daniel Gest).
23/10/1771 James Webb requests certificate for his son William Webb to
Philadelphia Monthly Meeting (who removed to live with his brother).
19/21/1772 Certificate from Kennet Monthly Meeting for Rachel Webb,
daughter of Benjamin Webb, deceased.
17/6/1772 Certificate requested for George Webbs children William,
George, Elizabeth and Mary Webb to New Garden Monthly Meeting.
21/12/1774 William Webb produces certificate from Philadelphia.
21/8/1776 James Webb Jr. acknowledges buying and selling slaves and
requests to be re-instated in the Society.
23/10/1776 Certificate requested for Rachel Webb to Bradford Monthly
Meeting (single).
17/11/1777 Isaac Webb and wife Elizabeth request certificate to Bradford
Monthly Meeting.
17/3/1779 James Webb Jr. charged with fornication.
21/3/1781 James Webb Jr. requests certificate for his son and daughter
Jonathan and Martha Webb to Bradford Monthly Meeting.
25/8/1781 Joseph Webb, son of James Webb, charged with fornication.
23/1/1782 William Webb charged with paying militia and muster fines.
19/4/1786 Mary Webb produces certificate from New Garden Monthly
Meeting.
22/11/1786 Mary, daughter of George Webb deceased, charged with
fornication.
17/1/1787 Rebecca Webb, late Park, has accomplished her marriage by
assistance of a magistrate.
18/6/1788 William Webb condemns his having paid muster and militia
fines.
19/10/1796 George Webb requests certificate for himself, wife Hannah and
3 children William, Joel and George Webb to Catawissa Monthly Meeting.
I have transcibed the above just as it was given to me. Please, dont
hold me responsible for any errors. Hope this of a help to someone, I
enjoyed reading it if anyone out there can send an explanation of the
dates and some of the terminology I would appreciate it.
