Mike,
From the book I used to obtain the information (Webb Family of Bearwallow
Ridge, David G Webb Jr author, copyright 1983):
Chapter 1
John & Mary (Boone) Webb issue:
John Webb b: 1721; George Webb b: 1723; Mary Webb b: 1726; Sarah Webb b:
1729; Benjamin Webb b: 1732; Joseph Webb b: 1735; James Webb b: 1737; Samuel
Webb b: 1740; & Moses Webb b: 1743.
George Webb b: 1723 d: ca 1821 (m1) Nancy Knuckles 13 Feb 1795, d/o John
Francis Knuckles (m2) Caroline (___) Ritchie, widow of John Ritchie, a
Revolutionary War verteran; was disowned for marrying contrary to Quaker
rules. He had five sons: David, John, Jonathan, Benjamin & George Jr. All
five served in the Revoluntionary War, three becoming Captains. In 1777
George Webb moved to East Tennessee and settled near Bluff City on the
Holston River, now Sullivan County.
James Webb b: 1737 migrated to North Carolina and settled close to the
Tennessee border. (Other author comments follow, then back to genealogy.)
