Chuck,
I know that the given name William is a "dime-a-dozen" with the Webbs, but do
you know of any William Webb's that went to IN via NC or KY? My great-great
grandfather, William Henry Webb, was born on 25 Oct. 1813 somewhere in KY.He
migrated to Warrick Co. IN where he died on 14 March 1878. I have been looking
for his birthplace and parentage for several years and have hit nothing but
"brick walls".All I know for sure is that he was a ME preacher and ran around
with families who were also branching away into Methodism, such as the West
family and perhaps the Campbells. If this isn't your line, maybe you can direct me
to someone who comes from these areas. It's possible they could have been
Quakers, but not probable. More like Baptists I'll bet......
Thanks in advance.
Carol (nee Webb)
