Nancee, I show that your gr, gr, great grandfather, Thurman Weldon, was married to Julia McDaniel, daughter of John McDaniel and Rachel Shumate. Do you have any information on them? I'm interested in the McDaniel/Shumate families and have been doing genealogy research for about a dozen years now. I believe that I know who Julia's grandfather and great grandfather were, but I am not positive about the connection. Wondered if you knew anything about the McDaniel side of your family history.
