UK television viewers may have since the recent archaeological dig which took
place in old Wessex, just a few miles upstream of Salisbury which was
described by one of the experts as one of the best he has been involved in.
A vessel which had originated in Antioch in present Turkey was the find
that sparked off the dig in the first place.
As most of my ancestors hailed from the Wiltshire village of CHILMARK I
took notice when I realised that the Chilmark Parish Church is St Margaret
of Antioch.
Has anyone got any information on that and/or is there a book that can be
recommended about the 'historical' history of Chilmark?
