Colleagues
I'm pleased to report that Oxfordshire FHS has recently released another
census CD set. This time it's the 1841 census, which is a two CD set comprising a
:-
1. detailed name index.
2. full transcription.
3. scans of all of the pages of the census enumerators' books.
4. county and city parish maps.
5. street indexes.
This 1841 census release covers the whole of modern-day Oxfordshire, and so
includes the North Berkshire area which became part of Oxfordshire in 1974.
That's a lot of data, complete with finding aids, which we're hoping will be
warmly welcomed by researchers with Oxfordshire and North Berkshire ancestry.
Further details of this and our other census CD sets, including information
about how to order them, can be found on our website at :-

Best wishes.
