Apart from my researches SILCOCKS/X families in the south England & Wales
for any period, I hav at last broken a brick wall in my SCOTTS (plural only)
one name study.

This has lead to the discovery that the SCOTTS surname was a corruption of
SCUTTS and links to CARR, HOLBOROUGH/HOLBURROW surnames in Gloucestershire &
Wiltshire at about 1800 and ealrier.

A link has also been found to a Daniel COLLINS born in Bristol about 1807
according to the 1851 census.

My ancestors had all left the area for London before the 1851 census.

Can anyone help or be intersted in these surnames.
