Hello,

I am looking for help with my WHITE family of Grayson and (possibly) Hart
Counties, KY-- information about the parents and siblings of JAMES WHITE (b
abt 1806 KY) whose family appears as Household #397 on the 1850 Grayson County
census [wife: Maranda; children: Martha, Eliza, Amanda & Bexy.] I would also
like his wife Maranda's family as well.

James' daughter MARTHA ANN WHITE (b 11 Sept 1833) married WILLIAM T. JOHNSTON
of Grayson and Hart Counties. I would be happy to exchange information on the
WHITE and JOHNSTON families both

WHITE is not an easy name. Recently I used a computerized index for Maryland
to check on White ca 1776-- and got over 34,000 entries! The computer
had picked up everyone's race (white) as well as the few with the family name.
