I am searching for information on my GG Grandfather Thomas Russell Sutton
who was from western Central Kentucky, possibly Henderson,
Webster, Livingston, or McLean Counties. He might possibly be in other
counties in Kentucky. I am not interested in tracing Samuel Tapp's family
but thought this information might help me connect with Thomas Russell
Sutton and his wife, Rebecca Elizabeth Walker Tapp.

The name and address of Samuel P. Tapp was found
in an old Bible that belonged to Thomas Russell
Sutton. The address was written as Montavallo Post Office, Vernon County,
MO.
I surmise that that Thomas Russell Sutton and Samuel Tapp were friends. The
name of Conro PHillips was also in the Bible. His address in Maries Co. MO
Tapp married Rebecca Elizabeth Walker in 1860 in Henderson CO. KY.
After Samuel's death, Rebecca ELizabeth then married Thomas Russell Sutton
in 1870 in Union
County Kentucky. Samuel Tapp was murdered in Vernon county
MO by Union forces during the Civil War, because he was a southern
loyalist.

Samuel and Elizabeth had one daughter, her name may have been Mary Allis or
Mary Lou. After Elizabeth and Thomas Married they had a son, Walter Lee
Sutton.
Elizabeth had a brother named Reuben Walker.
