Francine, I only have scattered Shanks as collaterals, but I scanned this
recent email and found one inconsistency with what I have in my database.

I have Mary Ann Margery Shanks Bright's father as Thomas Shanks (1780 SMC,
MD - 1855 Union Co., KY). Cannot tell you where I found this, though, or
if it is correct. Just thought I'd mention it and ask you about it.

I don't have any proof that Charles Shanks and Lydia Witherington or
Wetherington are the parents of Mary Ann Margery Shanks who married Charles
Bright. (see below)

I have no dates on Charles & Lydia. Charles was the son of John Anselm or
Hanson Bright and Descendants of John Anselm "Hanson" Bright John Anselm
"Hanson" Bright b: Abt. 1789 St.Mary's Co., MD d: April 21, 1837 St. Vincent,
Union Co., KY who married Theresa Cissellb: 1790 St. Mary's Co., MDd:
October 1833 Washington Co., KY.

Does anyone have any information about Charles and Lydia (Witherington)
Shanks? or information about the Thomas Shanks b1780 SMC, MD & d1855 Union
Co., KY?

For some reason information on Shanks & Brights are scarce in SMC...also in
Washington Co., KY.

All help is appreciated.
